Fall In Love With Fall
By- Melissa Baldwin
What’s your favorite season? This is a difficult question for a girl living in Florida. Here in the sunshine state we don’t exactly see the changing of seasons. Technically, we only have two; these being six months of unbearable hot weather and six months of fantastic weather.
This being said this doesn’t change my excitement that Fall is around the corner. I love everything about this time of year- the looming excitement of the holidays, Halloween celebrations and pumpkin everything. Every year when September arrives my husband knows that he may arrive home one evening to a house full of Fall décor and pumpkin candles burning. The question is when is too soon to go Fall crazy? In years past I have taken this question to Facebook, and every year I’m given the go-ahead to pull out the Fall wreath.
Our family also has several Fall traditions that we enjoy. My daughter is nine years old and one of our favorite things to do this time of year is to visit a pumpkin patch. She loves running through the isles that are filled with pumpkins of all different shapes and sizes and she loves to choose her own pumpkins to decorate and carve. Another new tradition we started a few years ago is our family thankful jar. Throughout the season until November we write down the things we are thankful for and add them to the jar. We love to look at those things we added to the jar the year prior.
This wonderful season represents warmth, family, and fun and I’m look forward to another fabulous Fall!
