Literary Addicts – Weekly Meme

What book would you like to change the ending? How would you change it?

There are several that come to mind. Hunger Games for instance. My daughter said Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows without Snape dying.

For me, it is Outlander, the first book.   She doesn’t end up with who I want.  And now it is her An Echo in the Bone, number 7. It is left with a bit of a cliffhanger and it is taking FOREVER for the next one to come out.  It came out in 2009 and the next one is not due until early next year.  Granted, she does have lots and lots of research in each book.  But I am waiting with many other readers to see what happens to a particular character, who I will not name.  I am wishing she had given us a bit more information at the end of 7 so the wait for 8 wasn’t so excruciating.

I like to read series books…but I like when the series is already complete so I don’t have to wait to read the next one.   Luckily, most series do not have such long waits between installments.

Luckily, I have plenty to read while I wait!

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
DC Hall is obsessed with argyle socks, the smell of books and believes he is the smartest person in the room. Granted he’s usually alone when he thinks this but it still feels good. When his nose isn’t stuck in a book, DC is usually writing or trying to teach his dog, Brooklyn, how to wash dishes (success remains elusive.) DC is from the south where the teas are sweet, distance is measured in minutes—not miles, and the skies are always Carolina blue.
